Ardnacrusha Power Station had the distinction of being the largest hydroelectric station in the world at the time of completion in 1929. For many years now, the station has been and is a tourism attraction in its own right. 

Compliments of ESB the Power Station is open for public tours from July 3^rd to September 8^th.

RMA Dublin branch has booked a tour for Wednesday 16^th August for the 12.30pm tour.

Initially it was hoped to book a bus for the trip, however cost proved prohibitive. A combination of train and car are the preferred options.
